Out To Sea series
Out To Sea - VIGNETTE 2:
The great Australian Kiosk
Come meet my mates Darren and Jude. They’ve been running the Ocean View Beach Kiosk in our little town of Queenscliff Victoria for the last 20 years, and I reckon it could just be one of Australia’s greatest.
These little kiosks are a big part of beach life all around Australia. Not only are they a destination for tourists, they are also an important meeting place and lifeblood for the local community.
I’ve been coming to this one since I was kid, and can’t imagine this place without it.
This is the second vignette from the Out To Sea series, where we explore the incredible people and stories that make this little town so great. These vignettes are woven throughout the main 'Out To Sea' artist in conversation series that explores creative practice, place, songwriting, storytelling, touring and the business of making a sustainable lifelong career in the arts. These vignettes give a context to the people and place where these conversations take place.
